Goddamn Patriots.

My regular kicker is on a bye, so I took Gostkowski, and he gets hurt... and I took Gronkowski for the same reason... and they lay an egg against the BROWNS FFS.

And the lions once again lose their young, over paid QB for the year.

Michael Vick and David Akers managed to bring my FF team from a 65 point deficit to a 7 point lead...

Sorry man, I just picked him up to cover a bye, I had no inkling that game would turn into the shoot-out that it did.

Yeah, nor did I. Freeman did alright for me, but the rest of my team was pretty underwhelming too.

S'ok though. I'm still in first place :)

I've got a rough match-up against Roophus' Patriots this week. Not looking forward to it by any stretch.

My fantasy team sucks, my Lions suck and Michigan is getting beaten by O state already.

I like the Lions. If they can stay healthy they can make a decent run next year (assuming they address their line during the off-season).

I just wanted to drop in and say that the Chargers crushing Manning yesterday was fantastic.

They are a good corner or two away from a solid D. Really, if that secondary doesn't improve, it doesn't matter how much better either line gets.

I'm with Hopwin, the Lions are definitely looking like they can be poised to finally turn the corner and be a competitive team very soon.

I agree with this, though their record still indicates there is a lot of room for improvement. Not just their season record, but all of those abysmal records they still continue to make worse, such as consecutive road losses (like 20 something?), as well as consecutive division losses (19). If you can't win on the road or in the division, it's going to be a struggle to put together a winning season, let alone make the playoffs. Considering how competitive this team has been this year, I'm shocked these two records above continue to get worse. I can't believe they haven't won on the road yet. The division is hard, especially considering Green Bay has an up arrow, as does Chicago, and Minnesota has been a beast until this year. On the road, however, it seems like they'd put together a full game at some point in order to get a win.

Agreed, I think like Eric Mangini when it comes to rebuilding a franchise. He essentially says it is a four-step process:
Quote:
you work, that's the first thing [STEP 1], you compete [STEP 2] then you win [STEP 3], then you gotta be able to win consistently [STEP 4], you've gotta be able to win the close games, and take advantage of opportunities

The Lions are finally consistently competing, next step is winning those close games.

If it weren't for that baby Brady and the cheater Belichick, I'd be a Pats fan. Woodhead is the man.

Every year since I started playing Fantasy sports with you guys...there is one key week. One big week where I have to do well, with out fail, that is the week I get Nitefox.

What in the hell did I do to you Russ?

It's a two-week playoff? *#^% So much for my 7 game win streak.

Dude, it has been a very disappointing year for me. My offense has been crap(God I wish I had taken Peterson first and not waited that next round to pick Foster). I wouldn't worry too much.

Only thing makes me feel better is that I'm first in my twelve man league.
