Yes, evidently it is to honor veterans. What's the problem? Personally I think it's a bit of a silly way to honor veterans, but if that's what he wants to do I doubt many of us are offended by it. So what if many enemy forces use K-47s? It isn't the guns' fault.

I'm a 20 year military veteran, don't own a gun, and have no interest in owning one.

While I won't be taking him up on his offer, I am also not offended by it.
