Thousands protest during Obama visit

Quote:
Hundreds of supporters donating millions of dollars came to hear President Barack Obama speak in San Francisco on Thursday night, but not everyone came to cheer. A huge crowd of protesters also turned out to deliver messages of their own.

Another sign of the Apocalyspe, or is Obama unpopular enough now that it's even reached Shaky Town?

Could be.

I'd dig up numbers for October of G.W. Bush's first year, but sadly, that's hardly fair.

Although, it'd be fun to compare, say, August numbers.

Well, to be perfectly fair it's San Francisco, and the article clearly stated that some of them think he isn't far enough left, especially on healthcare. I'm sure there were quite a few who thought "change" meant all healthcare would be government-run, all nuclear weapons would be eradicated regardless of other nations' actions, the military would b disbanded, Bush and Cheney would be extradited to Belgium, and Obama would go on a world tour dressed in sackcloth begging forgiveness from every nation in the world for America's failure to put their interests above our own at every turn.

It's not exactly a conservative town, so it's evidence that not just the "teabagger" demographic is upset with Obama.

I'm sure ACORN bussed them in from the poor neighborhoods so their voice could be heard.
