Yeah no kidding! According to the General Particulars Annex C, there are no propellers, the sanitary system is non-functional, the electrical system is "breached in many places" and "not fit for use", the interior is "deteriorating slowly," and the glands on the shaft is "hard up and dry!!!"

:lol:

I do love marine vessels though.

Propellers are easy.

Sanitary? Just pee off the deck! And if it doesn't already have a poop deck, we'll make one. It's big enough that you could avoid the stench for days, I would think.

New owners always re-do the electrical, shouldn't be a problem. I'm a bit concerned about the dry "gland on the shaft," though.

Isn't Elmo working on a nuclear reactor in his basement? Heck, we could buy it and rename it the S.S. Glade, make it a community project.

If I had a breakers yard I'd want the Invincible too. That much steel would be worth a whole lot.

One of these days, I may, Shuyung. The notion of rigging the damn thing terrifies me, though.

I should probably go ahead and get the model before the hobby becomes defunct, though.

Fascinatingly enough, my stint with Pirates of the Burning Sea put me in contact with (well, thrust the awareness of such a thing into my face) wood ship modelling. That would be pretty neat, too, but probably even more patience-taxing.

/obligatoryobvious, though; that's the Victory, not the Invincible.

I prefer Sailing.

This is what mine basically looks like.

And the meaning of boat?

b = bring

o = out

a = another

t = thousand

:P

Yes, it was faster to find a model of the Victory than to find a model of the wooden Invincible. The HMS Victory is still in commission. The HMS Invincible mostly sank.

You sail too Squirrel Girl? Awesome. This is the boat I want:

Best sailing experiences I've ever had are on E & M-Scows. They're a relatively new class of boats designed for the Great Lakes but they're blazing fast (in many cases faster than comperable multi-hulls)
