The problem isn't that the public doesn't KNOW.. it's that the general public doesn' WANT to know. If they did none of this would be necessary.

Yes but some shocking news will wake up some sleeping individuals. What I find interesting is that the government is now seeking to prosecute him because he is breaking through that ignorance.

I didn't think they had even tried to DDoS Amazon. They seemed to be well-aware of the difficulty, since protection against DDoS was pretty much the reason that Wikileaks sought out Amazon hosting in the first place.

I doubt it would be impossible to cause major service interruptions for Amazon, but you would probably have to bring some major botnets to bear on it. Likely these are beyond the reach of Anonymous.
