Streaming is cool, but affords the opportunity you will lose access to the content you want.

Physical Media aren't my thing either, but downloading it and keeping it is good.

Do you download your email? I agree that it's good... for now. I listen to all my music on Youtube. It's always there.

Actually, yes. Anyone with a desktop client does.

Physical media will always be around. I am just predicting that the vast majority of people will only use streaming. You can agree with me or not. I'm not really an authority on the subject.

Yes, at some point in the future, you will be correct and "the vast majority of people will only use streaming". Care to make an estimate when?

I did some quick searching and found this graph produced by Netflix. I would say this is a conservative estimate. I'd bet that the line you see presented here at 2028 will happen around 2025 or even earlier. You can already see the decrease start around 2015... that is when tech-savvy people mostly stop buying or renting (except those with lots of money to throw out on purchases, I guess). I don't feel like digging up actual numbers.

Back to my previous point, why bother saving anything when a quick search will play your movie in high-def? Most people favorite Youtube videos instead of downloading them.

Ok, be sure to look back in fifteen years and see if you're right.
