Actually, Lost City is moot after yesterday's hotfixes. The Tigers only skin singletons now. This means that Stonecore, until they fix the flayers, has the highest concentration of skinnable mobs, but you have to get past the Corborus before you reset it, which doesn't work so well on Heroic.

Consequently, the best leather gathering option I have is the Obsidian Forest with 2 other Hunters killing me for while I skin on my DK.

Yep. I went in Tol'vir last night to much disappointment. I'm gonna try basilisks in Deepholm.

They skin scraps. The Obsidian Forest in Twilight Highlands with ranged who can tag the flying drakes is the best option. There's also the little plateau south of the Kirthaven Beer escort with Elk and Worgs. The Tawney Owls are skinnable there.

*sigh* They have such high hp, though. Plus I don't want blackened dragon scales. I'm trying to finish leveling it and scales don't help in that regard.

If you handle the Obsidian Forest right, you just tag the flying Drakes with a Serpent Sting while working the ground mobs. The Vermillion Skyscreamers or whatever they are will kill the flying Drakes for you. And as you move through the area, they just become bonus skins.

If all you want is straight leather, since go skin the Brine Serpents near the first set of Budd quests in Vashj'ir.

BTW, are there no weapons to buy from Valor/Justice merchants on Horde side?

Or are they on a different vendor than the one in Org that sells armor?

I think they might have offhand weapons, but I could be thinking of something else. You don't see main hand or two handed weapons on the vendors usually.

Hmm not seeing anything on there weapon-wise. Looks like Horde got shafted.

Offhand weapons are there, I picked up the dagger first thing. There are no mainhand weapons on the vendors, though.
