The Glade 4.0

So, I decided to play around with the F2P version after having left it a long time ago......and I keep getting a system lock up after graphics distort and freeze. And not finding much help from the forums, either.

I updated my video driver (8600gt) and my on board audio driver......no help. I tried to load the game from disks and patch, then tried from the downloaded version......no help. I tried high rez and regular.......no help. Interesting....

So, is there anyone who plays that has these problems or has heard of these problems, because WoW works just fine and dandy on my system without a hitch.

I'd like to play some LOTRO, but I damn sure am glad I tried out the F2P before spending any money......because it's unplayable for me atm.

Interestingly enough, I read they've pretty much tripled their revenue since going F2P.

That sucks man. My wife and I have been playing it with no real problems. Have you cruised the forums to see if others are having these issues?

Funny, I had the same issues with DDO after a patch. The lack of real tech support drove me away from the game.

The closest issue I found via their trouble shooting stuff, is someone had a 6800 card experiencing lock ups, and the answer was to try and turn off AGP Texture Acceleration, which also had no positive effect on the matter for me.

Not seeing anything else in the way of my problem listed or answered via the forums or trouble shoot guides.

It really makes no sense to me, seeing as WoW works wonderfully on my systems as it stands.

LOTRO connects, patches, etc fine......it just locks up randomly with whole screen video distortion and sound lock up, and requires a hard reboot as I cannot toggle out or move my mouse, etc.

Oh well, will try to erase everything LOTRO from my system and re-download the thing later on and give it another go. No biggie......they just won't receive dollars from me I guess.

Isn't this owned by the same people? DDO, LOTRO, and Asheron's Call?
