Nobody's thought to mention Heart of Gold, yet. Probably because we never got to see how it impacted the crew and characters until Serenity.

Yeah, it could have changed things. It's a shame we never got to see how Whedon would have developed the characters further.

I'm not so sure I get the whole Kaylee liking thing.. Maybe in future episodes, but so far she hasn't done a whole lot.

My favourite was whatever episode the shipped was attacked by that bounty hunter guy and River tricks him into thinking she's Serenity. Very cool!

One of the big discussions we've had over time is, if the stand down order had not been given, how many of the Alliance soldiers near the end would River have taken out before they killed her or her friends. They were all armed, at ready and she had just done an energy burn on taking out the Reavers. She still had weapons.

i think she was on a roll...the look on her face said "just try it"..she could have taken them all out. Reavers are far meaner than the Alliance. I thought she was dead when she shut the door, what an awsome fight though!
