The Prisoner is kind of a quirky one, there, Micheal. It's as good as I'm sure it ever was, but it's definitely not for modern audiences. The pacing is way too foreign.

"Form Blazing Sword" still makes me all giddy after twenty-five years.

While not television (and also not from the '80s), I recently had cause to appreciate how well War of the Worlds has stood up over the years.

Yes, that is Justin Hayward.

Yes. If only the rest of the show did, anymore.

Watched a couple of episodes of a show called Kolchak-The Nightstalker few years ago. Was pretty good. I think it's from the 80's. Friends had a movie party and that was one they showed.

I liked Seinfield alot!

I remember that show (from syndication). It ran in the mid 70's, then SyFy(?) re-made it relatively recently throwing in little homages to the original (like Kolchak's hat or tape recorder).

I've been watching lots of Seinfeld reruns lately and they continue to entertain.

I also have been sucked into Red Green for addictive goofiness.

But in my opinion the series that holds up best is M*A*S*H. My father in-law bought the entire run on VHS and my wife and I watched it over a few months. I had forgotten just how it was a drama as much, if not more, than a comedy. Since it's Korean War setting keeps it from aging poorly like shows set contemporaneously with their productions, there are no unintentional laughs for silly hair or automobile stylings and the like (also...I'm sure most of the set was war surplus, so it looks authentic enough) Sometimes it even made me tear up. I highly recommend it.

I think one that holds up incredibly well is The Twilight Zone. I still love watching the re-runs and I wasn't even born when it first came out. Rod Serling was a genius!

Same here, eternal fan of the twilight zone.

Honestly, the biggest issue now is that people keep using Twilight Zone premises in their other shows/movies!
