That would be pretty awesome. The only thing is that they really need to work on character faces. Because everyone in Oblivion/Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas is ugly as hell. Thankfully, Fallout 3 had project beauty, which helps a good deal...but they still look ugly. I think New Vegas has one in the works, but I haven't downloaded it yet.

I just picked this up for the 360 the other day. So far... I am not sure how I feel. I felt shoehorned into going evil in goodsprings, just so I was not KOS to the Powder Gangers in the prison.

I am still not level 10 yet though.. I have ED-E and Boone as companions, and I just finished the solar plant (without killing off the NCR guys).

Why is being KOS with the Powder Gangers bad?

it is another city, and being low level... I wanted to keep as many factions indifferent or friendly as I could.

Its not. They're just a part of that prison, and aren't worth keeping friendly.

Yeah. I'm not even sure there are any quests associated with them(aside from murdering Goodsprings). There is literally no reason to side with them. At all.

I'm still playing this game on the PC but it is starting to feel like it's hardly worth finishing. I can't imagine what I'd do if I had to play it on 360/PS3. I spend way too much time turning the clipping on and off due to being stuck in hills and rocks. The amount of invisible walls instead of obstacles has gone from disappointing to downright disgusting. I'd still get it and play it again, but it's no Fallout 3.

There it is, folks. All future DLC will have simultaneous release on all platforms in the future.

I've been playing this quite a bit lately (three DLC's mostly)

Dead Money was... not much fun. I burned through more Doctor Bags and stim packs in that one expansion than in the rest of the game combined. (Granted I'm playing with Hardcore on & at max difficulty)

Its the only DLC (so far) you can't go back to after completing and I'm sad to say I missed the snow globe there. Apart from several interesting crafting recipies there really isn't much that endeared me to the expansion. (the low level stress of having health that continually ticks down while playing in hardcore mode I think added to it) It also isnt much fun having to start from scratch on gear. If you're going to play this one, Adamantium Skeleton is an important perk.

Honest Hearts... I liked. The change in terrain and the White Legs make a decent shift in enemies, but the terrain itself was occasionally frustrating--its better designed & less buggy than Fallout NV terrain, its just HARDER. lots of up and down, lots of places you can step off and die. Green Geckos are brutal being able to kill you in 2-3 attacks even in full power armor and level 40. The fact that the terrain is mostly red rock country canyons means you dont see enemies coming up to you so you can be overwhelmed quickly. (especially if you're foolish like me and made lasers your primary weapon and then took the perk that causes explosions on a critical finishing hit) The aftermath though left me feeling like there were no good quest choices. Damned if you do or damned if you dont.

The newest one-Old World Blues is.... just odd. I LIKE it. and the Cyberdogs Playing poker (with the Wild Wasteland perk) actually made me laugh. I'm not done with it, but this expansion is just plain fun. You get kidnapped, a group of Brain-in-the-Jar scientists remove your brain but manage to lose it and you have to track it down.

Still Working on Old World Blues

-- LOVE IT. Especially if you played Wasteland (the game that inspired Fallout )

There are a huge number of references to Wasteland (proton Axes, 'thin red paste', finally a use for all those toasters.) Not to mention the best house.. once I finish the expansion I'll be moving everything there. (even if it means leaving my companions behind, the house is that good.

Its a packrats nightmare--if you're in the habit of keeping EVERYTHING of use, then you'll be keeping well nigh everything. Coffee Mugs, ashtrays, all the silverware, pots, pans, toasters, irons.. you name it.

Just recently got into it as well - our copy got a circular scratch on it, and ended up not working unless installed on the hard drive. A friend allowed me to install using his disc, though, so all is well.

I must say, though, did anyone else not see *any* of the options presented when asked to do the ink blot tests? I mean, I saw two ninjas high fiving when they saw a man with a beard...

I didn't, no. But it doesn't really matter in the long run because I just pick which skills I want tagged anyway and tell the doc he is full of ****. I did the same in Fallout 3 with the test.

Old World Blues is flat out awesome. best DLC I've played. I burned 20+ hours on it and didn't hit everything. So many references to the old Wasteland which was probably the first computer RPG I played (except maybe Starflight) and has a special place in my heart.

Proton Axes
Thin Red Paste (deaths in Wasteland were often described as reducing "XXX to a thin red paste")
Roboscorpians
Toasters (toasters were usually treasure troves if you had the rare Toaster Repair skill in Wasteland)

The personality matrices for the various household appliances are laugh out loud funny. (Including the psychotic toaster with dreams of world domination) the description of human toes and fingers ... it went on and on.

The house has the following amenities once finally all decked out:

a) Fully functional autodoc which can swap out your stats once, install new implants, heal all radiation, crippled limbs, addictions, buy some implants (including a +20% crouch speed)
b) A store (admittedly not one with great prices)
c) a repair facility
d) Workbench
e) hotplate (serves as cookstove)
f) gardens for nearly all crops
g) the ability to convert any plant into any other by means of Sailient Green
f) Book Depository (convert Pre-War books into blank books (useful for making skill books), Converts Pencils to Lead, Converts clipboards to Scrap Metal & duct tape
g) Psycho-Toaster (converts Toasters into various energy cells & scrap metal at VERY good rates of exchange) and creates the Superheated Saturnite Fist
h) Muggy (robot) who converts Coffee cups to Wonderglue and syringes, Coffee Pots into fuel cells & scrap metal, plates to scrap metal
i) Sink that gives out water + allows you to convert any empty bottle into purified water
j) Jukebox that converts your sonic weapon into a variety of special effects
k) Lots of storage
l) reloading bench

Couple of pieces of advice:
Don't be tempted to buy the various weapon enhancements until you have the unique version of each weapon (Cyberdog 9000->FIDO, LAER-> Elijah's Custom LAER) the mods actually work on both, but the shop only seems to carry one of them and never replenishes the stock.

FYI, the game ends when you finish the main story line. No continuing on after beating it. But one of the later patches added in an auto save that takes you back before the end sequence so you can do DLC without having to start a new game.

Hee hee.

Borrowed Michael's copy, became the Wild Card.

It was extremely satisfying saying to someone, "Raise that weapon and I will kill everyone in this room."

OWB is pretty cool. The store needs to carry more of my chosen weapon's ammo. I'm just using the antenna melee weapon, even though I hadn't trained any melee weapons, because trying to shoot the robo-scorpions takes too long and uses all my ammo. Whacking them is actually faster. My DT is high enough that they aren't too much of a threat unless there is a whole lot of the buggers.

I need to finish this game, because I'm finding hardcore to be sort of tedious. It's just extra weight I have to manage. It's not really interesting. It'd have been better if HC meant dying deleted your save. That's hardcore. I want that cheese-mint! No, I don't know why!

I liked the Proton Inversion Axe more than the Antennae but didn't look at the stats too much. Big glowing blue axe looked cooler than wielding a big toilet plunger.

The antenna still has a higher DAM. Speaking of which, anyone else find it really annoying how the DAM and DPS slowly fade back and forth? Why not just have DAM/DPS side by side. Trying to compare stats can be annoying. Is there a faster way to check those?

Looking cool is important though. Just ask the Tunnel Rats. It's the hidden stat.

Eh. Axe was half the weight, 100% repaired by the semi-common Proton throwing Axes, higher DPS, greater crit damage, and is faster (though oddly required more AP) And had the nostalgia factor. My character was also maxed out on Crit multiplier perks (and wearing Salt-Upon-Wounds hat )

I love the Stealth Suit Mk II btw thought it keeps getting me addicted to Med-X
