I still watch House on Hulu, but due to all these breaks it has come down to an "oh, I should see if there are new House episodes" sort of thing instead of "I am currently watching House" instead. That show takes so many friggin breaks.
I think I am fine with one break in the middle of the season. It can even be used as a sort of positive if the writers are agile enough to work with it well. I understand the realities involved, at least in situations other than when a show is guaranteed to run the full season.
This is why it's so frustrating with House... they basically have guarantees on their ratings and such. I can't think of a reason for not writing and producing a full season in one swoop. It shouldn't take very long at all to produce most of those episodes assuming the writing is done.
