There was actually some decent information in that twitter chat, surprisingly.

And thank god I'll be able to do the random dungeon thing with a premade group. That alleviates most of the problem I had with the new lfg system.

Even though I didn't much critique the original, I like that much better, Khross. The target box seems like it might be a little cramped, but I'd like to see a combat shot. Do you make use of something like Power Auras? Would like to see that also.

Khross, the only thing I like less about this one is less action bars- did you decide they were too cramped?

Khross, I mean the frame with "Siku" targeted. Is that your target, or your focus? That's what seems cramped to me (text pushing out the bottom).

My guildies & I went into 10m ToC for the first time today. We were able to knock out the first two bosses. The faction champions have us a tad puzzled though. Must do more research.

Faction champs is all about damage focus and everyone using thier CC and interrupts. If the warrior is there, kill him dead. If the rogue is there, kill him dead. We do those guys before we do healers. The enhance shaman can be obnoxious and so can the DK, but you can basically kite those guys.

MS effect helps a good deal. Dispells and cleanses and such are key. Killing totems helps. Basically, you have to use all your resources. For example, if the resto druid is up, you can basically make him useless by purging his hots.

We had the druid, holy priest, enh shaman, rogue, warlock & mage.

We tried to burst down the druid first, but couldn't seem to be able to. We tried to work CC, but it seemed to be breaking nearly instantly, even without the use of AoE's.

Our raid make up was 2 prot paly's 2 boomkin 1 Resto Shammy 1 Ele shammy 1 holy priest 1 holy paly 1 blood DK 1 Mage.

Sheep & Hex seemed to be broken nearly instantly. Cyclone worked somewhat. We might go back in tomorrow & try some more.

Forget the druid, do the priest first. Your shaman should be able to purge any hots that get put on the priest until he dies. We usually bloodlust right off the bat to kill the healers as quickly as possible.

The warrior (which you don't have) and rogue can be problematic, but you just need someone to watch them. Stick a tank on them if they're up, particularly a dk. Your blood dk should work fine, have him deathgrip/taunt/chains of ice the rogue until he's next on the assist train. This should easily keep him out of your hair for awhile. If the rogue is causing enough problems, kill him second, before the druid.

Have people watching for the tremor totems the shaman drops, that should help on your dispell issues.

Once the healers are down, the fight is a joke. Everything else should go down pretty easily.

ps Oh, and remember, this fight uses pvp mechanics; ie, all your cc's need to be rotated or the mobs will become immune to them. This may be part of your issue.

A warlock can lock down the druid nearly 100% by cycling banish and fear.

I've been sitting at 399 Unarmed skill for 2 hours now.... I'm starting to wonder if I'm insane....

We did faction champs for the first time last night on 10man (guild only)..

I was so used to the 25man version and kept trying that strat.... eventually just said 'F it', had our 2nd tank to Ret, and basically ignored any CC

Worked like a charm

I think we're going to head back into ToC today to spend some more time trying the champions. We might be able to have an arms warrior with us. I'm hoping that might help.

Grats Uinan. How hard was it for the 10 man ToC? I'm wondering if that should be my first instance to try and get into once I'm a bit more geared up. I see people advertising LFM 10 man ToC fairly often. Even more for the heroic actually.

I cant seem to find any links to what the rewards are either, is it champion seals?

10 Man ToC drops loot and emblems of triumph.

Look for: Northrend Beasts
Jaraxxus
Faction Champions
Twin Valkyrs
Anub'Arak

There are two versions of these fights; regular, and heroic. Heroic are probably not good for the starting raider. :) Normal is not too bad.

Yeah, I'd say, if you study the strategy in the fights before hand, and then go in with badge gear & stuff out of Heroic ToC(5 man) You'd probably be ok.

The one raid healer we took with us is a shammy who has only been 80 for 2 weeks. Though he has done a ton of raids since he dinged.

For looking at loot, you might ilke the add-on called Atlas Loot. It displays the loot from nearly everything in the game. I find it to be very handy when looking for pieces to upgrade my gear.

Fun little bug I read about. Equivalent to editing your MPQ to model hack (i.e. only you see it differently than it should be), but without actually editing anything.

Short version - log out of the game with character A. now at char select, left click on character B to select them. Mouseover character A. Hit Enter at the same time you leftclick. You will log into character B, but they'll have character A's race/gender. Something to do with the client not checking often enough what model your character should have.

Now if you guys will excuse me, I need to get back to a magical discovery time with my beautiful tail...

On PVE servers you can have both Alliance and Horde characters. Is that perhaps what you're talking about?

On an unrelated note, yes I am aware I have the worst guild name ever. :(

You can have horde and alliance characters on the same PvP server now. So, I doubt he's talking about that. I think what he's saying is how do you have a horde dranei...which the obvious answer is that it is a bug. Probably has something to do with the race/faction change.
