Been looking for it for years. No help here, but hey, if you want to talk about it, let me know, I'm a PM away.

There is no reset button for life. You just put in more quarters and hit 'continue,' and play the same level better until you beat it and move on to the next round.

Best to you.

Unfortunately, you got to take the good with the bad and move on and make the best of what you do have.

Move on and hopefully things will even out for you.

Every day is a chance to start over...to hit the "resetbutton" (sic).

Don't let the crap you stepped in yesterday stick to your shoes, kick them off and make yourself a new pair, then get them moving in the direction you want them to go.

think of a way to fix it. There's rarely no way to fix a situation... sometimes you just gotta put down your pride and ask for help. But there's always a way, if there's a will

I don't pretend to be intelligent and I certainly haven't even touched the boundaries of wisdom. What I have started to understand is my life in context with the rest of existence. It sounds ostentatious but it is what I feel and my perceptions are what create my reality (I think.. ha ha). Given my experiences over the past few years coupled with my recent education (which I enjoyed greatly), I've unfortunately been introduced to a larger world. The statement "Ignorance is Bliss" currently has enormous weight with me. I have learned so much in the past two years but the net result has been a feeling of devastating inadequacy. The sum of my knowledge has increased exponentially and has left me understanding that I know nothing at all. You can't just close that box can you? Once it has been opened and the veil lifted there can be no return.

Happiness is elusive but I do think that you can find peace. Knowledge of self can bring clarity unrivaled but it has a price. The price is having 100 answers for every 101 questions. It seems impossible to catch up. The more you ask, the more that goes unanswered. Sisyphus eat your heart out. Now and again I have glimpses of clarity and see myself both happy and peaceful because somehow I understand but like a fleeting tune that passes by too quickly to fully remember, it slips away as soon as it is grasped. I hope to someday know both at the same time.

What we believe is irrelevant. What we see is not real. In the end, all that matters is how we treat those around us. I am either on the path to enlightenment or the path to oblivion. Either way I’m sure it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

Pardon my gibberish it has been a hellacious week. Perhaps this is just a midlife crisis? Or maybe I've had too much to drink? I lost 9 people last year. This week I found out I may lose 3 more. I shall allow myself some leeway in spouting gibberish.

Gods and fishes I sound like an undergrad who just found his first philosophy book. This all sounds terribly serious.. how about a philosophy joke instead?

Sartre was writing Being and Nothingness at a coffee shop and a barista asks him: 'Can I get you anything'
Sartre: 'Yes, I'd like a coffee with no milk.'
Barista: 'I'm sorry, we're out of milk. Would you like it with no cream instead?'

I've been there. I haven't found the reset button, but I promise you, by God's grace there is a way forward.

I'm convinced that things happen for a reason.

Unfortunately, the reason seems to be that Aphrodite hates me.

While I can offer sympathy for your losses Hokanu, I don't understand how you hold yourself responsible for them.

Your thread title takes the blame for you screwing up your life. Did you kill them? Did something you did cause them to die accidentally? We all die eventually, it is a sad but very real part of life. Go easier on yourself, or tell us how you screwed up.

HA! see what rambling gets me? I had nothing to do with the losses either old or pending. I guess I was just meandering with words.

Based on the longer post that you put up there... You have just moved one step closer to real enlightenment, and the resulting psychosis.

I had something much longer, but it sounded incredibly forced, even though it was not.

You are a good person Hokanu. Keep fighting the Good Fight.

Thanks DS! Every day is a fight but I figure life would be pretty boring if it all went by the book..
