Not sure I like Angel as much as Buffy, but I've just watched a couple of episodes, so I will reserve judgement.

Don't worry, you'll like Angel after a while. Also hate him.

Stop watching ANGEL right now. Pick it back up when you hit season 4 of BUFFY. The two series dovetail.

Ah, I misread, I thought you meant the character Angel. Yup, be sure and start watching when Angel actually starts his own show, there is crossover.

Ah, sorry...I talk about so many entertainment properties in a variety of formats (HTML, BBcode, etc.) and on mobile devices, I tend to give up on the italics and just differentiate titles with caps. :)

Personally I thought that Angel's story arc (in his own series) was much better than Buffy's.

Lol ok no more Angel. I think I misunderstood and thought I should start at end of season 2. Thanks for the crossover guide!!

I have been watching Buffy so much....every time I see a stick or piece of skinny wood, I'm evaluating it for a vampire stake ;). I did like the thing Angel used up his sleeves that shot out 2 stakes when he needed them..

They show up from time to time during the series Kirra.

And Angel's appearance in LA will make more sense by the end of Season 3.

Angel was really great. It's too bad it only had 4 seasons. Four great, awesome seasons. Four, and only four.

I almost..... almost remembered something and then...... yeah it's gone now.

Four awesome, super great seasons! It was a show that was cancelled ahead of it's time. But, I personally believed it ended excellently.

I wonder if you and I have a recollection of the same four seasons...

Apparently not since it was five seasons. Unless you are doing the smart thing and completely disregarding one of the ones in the middle :D. Overall the series is solid. The last season was excellent and the last episode is still one of the very best in my television history. Of course for that experience to mean anything you have to be invested in the last couple of seasons for good or ill.

I think it speaks volumes for Joss's talent that he made the ups and downs of the series worth it in one episode.

You must be mistaken. The series took a year off. That one season in the middle doesn't exist.

That must be it. I forget things sometimes. I had a lot going on in my life at that time.

Why couldn't Josh have had Angel kill Buffy....then do CPR, bring her back, another Slayer is created...then Buffy and Angel (who doesn't ask the Oracle to change him back) move to a deserted island and make little Buffys and Angels 24/7? What is wrong with this alternate reality?

I did find it a little odd where it jumped from the season with Holtz and then all of a sudden to the season where he's working for you-know-who at you-know-where. A little bit of a plot-hole gap, but easily forgotten.

And Kirra, I don't see anything wrong with your reality. Well, other than the part that I never really cared for Sarah Michelle Gellar. Never came across as "hot" to me. Always came across as the annoying girlfriend of a friend that you tolerate, but secretly want to punch in the face. But that's just me.

He is the one character I miss after swearing off Buffy for life.

For Life? Isn't that a little harsh? Did you get addicted and have to go to Buffy Anonymous or something?

I started out loving Buffy. But after season 3 it started to go really downhill for me. I didn't like the direction it was taking. Specifically how much darker and more "adult" (I use that term very loosely) the show was becoming. The series had a pretty established tone for three seasons, and it decided to start to change that. But I stuck with it.

What finally was the straw that broke the ogre's back was when
Spoiler:
Willow flayed the skin off that dude alive
. After that, I said I was done. I only came back once, and that was to watch the series finale (which I was a bit disappointed with).

Angel I was fine with, because it's tone was pretty constant. Had Buffy started off really dark, I'd probably be less upset over it.

So all you really missed was season 7.

Personally, I loved
Spoiler:
Evil Willow.
