So one thing I'm curious about. I just hit 20 last night with my warrior, and I haven't even finished up all the quests in the Freemarch yet.

How does the exp curve change as you level up? Do you end up exploring/questing in all the other zones at close to max level or after you hit 20 do you start moving around a lot more?

The curve does get a bit steeper after 20. Stonefields took me to 26ish on my rogue, and then Scarlet Gorge took me to 30. Freemarch is bloody huge :) Plus, there's a lot of rift events there due to population.

Is there some way to get into first person view?? I just started open beta tonight because my gaming partner talked me into it and I can't stand playing while looking at the back of my character's head! :(

Messed around with crafting and the dailies today. Really solid stuff all around so far in this game.

The levels really fly when they have major invasions and you do several rifts/invasion/footholds in succession.

Looking forward to release.

What's really amusing to me is that 90% of the threads on the class beta boards are PvP whining.

That must mean the PvE side is pretty damn perfect ;)

I have to say that this has been a really fun Beta. I'm very much looking forward to the headstart on Thursday.

What has been the most surprising is the difficulty I'm having choosing a toon to play. Usually as long as the warriors don't suck, that's what I go with. But the rogues and clerics have been very compelling.

I taked IT with my rogue just before the beta ended, and it was a blast.

Yeah should be good stuff at release. I always like a fresh start in a new game. Class is definitely something I struggle with too. At this point I'm just going Warrior and let the chips fall where they may.

Thinking my main will be a rogue. I've fallen in love with the bard soul. Cadence spam + regen motifs = invincibility ;) Not really, but if I can outheal your damage mr mob, you're going to die. Slowly, but you're goin down. @31, Virtuoso is great fun, especially in AE fests. Pick the biggest mob, Riff, and pop Virtuoso, and spam the hell outa coda of wrath ;) Probably one of the most entertaining damage c/d's I've played with in a while.

I played a Warrior to 28 or so, Paragon/Riftblade/xx and the lack of self heals was a little disconcerting.

Initially, I didn't much like the Cleric, but I decided that I needed to give it a fair shake, and played an Inq/Cab/xx with a second spec of Jus/Shm/Pur up to 20ish, and I really liked the AOEness of the Cabalist. Justicar's pretty tough, and could be entertaining to tank with.

Magewise, my Necro/Chloro was tons of fun. Really good survivability and pretty good DPS. Easy to mow through mobs pretty much nonstop, especially when you get soul purge. Played Ele/Storm a bit, and it was kinda similar.

At this point, I'll be making 3 toons for sure.

Warrior - Champ/Rift/xx - Paladin OS
Rogue - Bladedancer/Nightblade/Riftstalker - Riftstalker OS (rogue tanking rocks)
Cleric - Shaman/Justicar/xx - Justicar OS (want to try tanking with it too)

I bought the game. My only issue now is getting it downloaded. I have less than desireable, but adequate satellite internet for playing. The issue is that there are download caps. I'm up at school right now downloading at 2mb/sec (at 75%), but it looks like the network administrator slowed me down (I'm the only one here, yet it's almost at a stop), that, or Steam is bogged down with people trying to download it. Regardless, I'm really pissed because I have to leave for my next 3 hour class and I won't be able to download the full game tonight now. Damn!

Whenever I do manage to get on, what server are you all playing on?
