I make a mean sorghum cookie.

3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup sorghum
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

-mix shortening, brown sugar, eggs and sorghum
-sift dry ingredients & add to sorghum mixture
-chill dough
-roll dough into balls and bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 for 9-10 minutes

My recipe says that makes about 50 cookies, but that's just ridiculous. It makes a little better than half that if you're making reasonably-sized cookies.

Sorghum, by the way, is kinda like molasses, only it's not molasses - sorghum cane's different than sugar cane.

Only cookies I can eat are snickerdoodles. I can't eat a lot of sweets.

Ok, that's not true. What I mean to say is that I won't eat a lot of sweets. Just can't eat a lot of sugar (but I can drink a lot of it).

there are a lot of good cookies out there, but my favorite remains the plain old chocolate chip cookie. The tollhouse recipe on the chocolate chip bag is just fine.

Good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies are my favorite...as long as they are soft.

No soft chocolate chip cookies! Cookies should be crisp on the outside, melty in the middle. My favourite recipe starts with browning the butter.

Wedding cookies, the kind of nut cookies that disolve in your mouth and are cobered in powdered sugar are another favourite.

Are lemon squares a kind of cookie? They seem somewhere between a bar cookie and a tart.

White chocolate macadamia nut.

And...pretty much everything everyone has mentioned so far. Except the Sorghum cookies, which I've never had, but adding to my list of things to bake when I get time.

She may be the devil, but one of Martha Stewart's chocolate chip recipes is the bomb. My wife makes 'em every now and then and it's just glorious.

Chocolate chip for the win. I'm not a big fan of cookies for the most part, but I will always go for chocolate chip.

But seriously, eat a chick out, or a cookie?

Oh, and lately, chocolate raisins are to me as cowbell is to Bruce Dickinson.

Oatmeal Raisin or Chocolate Chip. Give me a good CC cookie fresh out of the oven and I will be a slave.
