Some good titles here. PS3, 360, and Wii.

Gah! Can't decide.

I'm definitely getting Batman: Arkham Asylum and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time for the PS3. I can't figure out what the third game should be, though. Help me decide!

Some options:

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
Wasn't a big fan of the demo I played for the first one (too much shooting), but it's brand-new and in demand, so I could trade it in for around $25 at Gamestop.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS3)
Note: I already have a 360 copy; this would be for multiplayer at Thanksgiving when family is over, as I have more PS3 controllers. Downside: I would have no Juggernaut code for the PS3. :(

Demon's Souls (PS3)
On the list because I keep seeing people talking about it. I know literally nothing about it.

Borderlands (PS3/360)
See Demon's Souls.

inFamous
See Borderlands.

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition (PS3/360)
I've never played a Fallout game.

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)
Pro: The Wii might get some use! Con: Probably not.

Demon's Souls is a midevil fantasy world, action RPG with a difficulty level we haven't seen since 8-bit.

It will pummel you to the ground permanently if you let it, and you'll keep coming back because its awesome.

It's also got a neat online system where other players can leave you notes, or you can inspect their blood stains to watch a replay of how they died.

I would say it's a tie between Fallout 3 and Demon's Souls, both would be the best for your gaming dollar.

FYI - inFamous is PS3 exclusive.

If you do not get fallout 3, you are wrong.

Of the games listed, I've only played Fallout 3, so I voted for that. Very good game.

That's freakin' fantastic! Almost enough to get me to return my $99 Blu-Ray player and get a PS3.

PS3 game of the year, if you ask me. Not the biggest fan of Uncharted but I understand that's very good as well.

Ah, whoops. Leaving it up there as a testament to my stupidity, as well as the fact that the poll will erase all of the answers if I edit it.

I hear that there is no way to escape the "multiplayer experience" of Demon Souls, save for not connecting your PS3 to the internet at all. That doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in, especially when other players can randomly enter your game as a wraith and kill you so they can respawn. I mean, you can do the same thing...but it sounds way too frustrating to even consider playing.

1) You can play in "offline mode" well enough. You just don't see other people's death replays, though there are still some notes from developers lying around.
2) You can only be invaded by another player when you're in human form. I don't know about anyone else, but the majority of my time is spent in soul form.

Demon's Souls for sure.

And yeah, the online stuff is completely avoidable and optional. You spend the game pretty much entirely in Soul form.

I took advantage of this, thanks guys. Picked up ODST, M:UA2 (to be gifted), and Borderlands for the 360.

I almost got Arkham Asylum instead of ODST, but I figure I may get that for PC instead once it comes down a bit.

Fallout 3 has been the best game I have purchased for any system. I have over 100 hours logged into the game

Fallout is, indeed, excellent. I PC'd it a while ago, and didn't vote for it because I was deviously fishing for more Borderlands coop partners. ;)

I never played a Fallout game before Fallout 3 (though I knew of them). Fallout 3 is an amazing game. Very atmospheric, tongue-in-cheek, and has a great story with great sidequests.

And if my endorsement isn't enough... how about Chandler Bing's?

I voted inFamous for 360 in case it might help your self-esteem.

I voted for Fallout 3, my preference is on the 360 but your mileage may vary. I got over 300 hours out of that game.

In a similar vein, I picked up Borderlands and Arkham Asylum for 360 on amazon's buy 2 get 40 bucks off to get 40 bucks off dragon age, so I support those. I haven't played borderlands, but I've heard enough good things to warrant a purchase.

Owning every game on that list for the PS3 hehe, it's hard to say, cause that's a list of all top notch games.

Uncharted 2 is probably the most mindblowing 15ish hours of gameplay I've ever seen...ever (the demo for the first game really doesn't do Uncharted justice), but you'll get a lot more gametime out of Demon's Souls or Borderlands or Fallout 3 hehe.

Another pro for borderlands (From penny arcade's news post today)

Me either, but I am going to have to hope to get it for Christmas... though it's not necessarily a bad thing, since I'm getting Dragon Age on Tuesday :)

There are three people in my relatively close vicinity who absolutely love Borderlands. One of them is meeeeee.

There are two people in slightly farther vicinities that are also enjoying it.
