Waiting for a dual-core Android phone right now is pointless. No apps have been programmed to to take advantage of it yet and by the time they are, quad-core phones will likely be the new hotness.

Even if apps aren't programmed for dual-core it's still very helpful as your phone is always multitasking with the app your running and other background apps, and Flash 10.2 is programmed for dual cores processors so with increase flash performance by apparently quite a bit on dual-core phones.

Honestly, Flash performance isn't something I sit around and go "man, I wish my phone were *faster* at that..."

My phone's got a 1ghz or 1.2ghz processor in it these days, and I haven't seen anything that crawls on it. I also don't load it up with twenty background tasks, I suppose, but.. it's a phone, not a server!

Yeah, I'm with Kaffis. Multitasking is cool and all, but I can't imagine people (in general) do it on their phones all that often.

People (in general) can bite me, I'm multitasking constantly!

I got 30.29Mbps download on a speed test I did this morning. That's nearly 3 times what I get from connecting to my wi-fi network at home.

Test Date: Mar 24, 2011 6:34:16 am
Connection Type: Cell

Download: 30.29 Mbps
Upload: 26.57 Mbps
Ping: 104 ms

A detailed image for this result can be found here:

Flash is dying. There's no reason to focus on its performance.
