While listening to Oonagh sing the Alphabet\Twinkle Twinkle, little star\Baa Baa Black Sheep song to our son, I realized that it sounds like a simple enough chord progression. So I picked up my guitar and started sounding out the chords and sure enough, it is easy enough to play. Started with a strumming pattern, but my newer favorite style is a fingerpicking style. Using a similar pattern as "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac, I picked out an arrangement for this song and practiced it for most of the weekend.
So, while I can take no credit for writing this song, I have written, IMHO, a very soothing, happy, lullaby-type arrangement for it.
I need to figure out the best way to capture it for uploading as I would really like to share this. Video would be simple enough using Oonagh's webcam, but I don't know how well the audio will come over. This may be a good thing as I do not sing well, though I do give it a try on this particular song.
I will certainly update it here once I get it figured out.
Expecting at least one poster to make the following realization:
