I twirl my hair all the time.
I almost always put my bath towel on the floor to dry my feet even though there is a bath mat. I hate walking back into the bathroom and getting my socks wet when I go back to brush my teeth.
If foamy gives me a massage, any body part that has a two of them, if he rubs one part, he has to rub the other or I get angry at him that I am uneven and I have to do it myself. Mostly hands, shoulders, legs, and feet

When I'm scooping butter or margarine out of a tub, I make a game out of doing it as evenly as possible. I keep the tip of the knife against the far side of the tub, resting the blade/handle against the near edge, and peel butter away in one thin, even stroke. As I consume the butter over time, the remaining butter forms a sharper and sharper cone as the knife tip goes deeper into the tub.

I have to twist the stem off an apple before I can eat it.

The stem is the only thing that remains when I'm done with an apple.

If I have a device that displays volume levels numerically, I have to put it on a multiple of 5.

That must suck when the options are 1-4.

Or, worse, 0-5. You either get mute, or full blast.

I totally understand the sentiment, though. There are definitely better numbers and worse numbers. 17 is a no-no, for instance. 16 or 18, instead.

My car stereo, for instance, helpfully goes 0-60. My old home theater system went up to 50 or 60 as well. Both of those were fine. My computers, iOS devices, etc. just use a nonnumeric slidey scale. Thankfully, my new Bose Cinemate system sidesteps the issue entirely, and offers only a calming green light that blinks when the volume is being adjusted. My OCD-fu, ever at loggerheads with my laziness, is not strong enough to bother counting these blinks, and not having a number off which to base anything helps as well. :)

One of our vehicles has a numeric indicator for volume. I CANNOT leave it at 13, although it's unfortunately usually the best volume setting for the noise level in the car. No matter, has to be at 12 or 14, in that case.

I have many more, but this is about the only one I'll come clean with.

I like to accumulate things, which is why I love leveling games. I have a compulsiveness to have a full bar, which is why leveling bugs me, but also gives me more reason to play as I need to refill the bar.

I also do bite lips thing like Farsky, I can not stop until all the flaky bits are gone!

Just noticed this today: when I wash my hands, I kind of squeegee them prior to reaching for a paper towel, because I hate leaving a water trail. Because of this, if I see someone dripping water onto a counter or the floor, I automatically judge them.

I read this whole thread thinking it was stupid...everyone has quirks, but I couldn't think of one.

Now I have...I hate listening to headphones. I hate having them on me and being tied down to the device I'm listening to...even if it's a portable music player. The cables are also very annoying and touchscreens, while nice, have too much menu diving and hitting the wrong spot on the screen is all too common. I digress, though.

The real reason I hate using headphones is because they feel claustrophobic. I hate how the sound is right there directly fed into each ear. I love speakers, I love the way the sound naturally fills the room and bass that you can feel at the same frequencies you can hear. If I close my eyes, it sounds like a real sound to me...with headphones the sound just loses that real quality.

I cannot discuss anything technical without a pen or pencil in my hand.

I doodle when I'm bored.

Anytime I hear the word "BOOM", I have to consciously fight saying "shacka-lacka".

I'm a giant ball of quirks, but I generally don't show/tell them to anyone except the people closest to me, because I have a really extreme distrust of everyone and everything.

Is that a quirk?

When I put my hair up in a bun, And I am stressed, I pull pieces out and twirl them, I end up looking like a hurricane hit me before I realize I should prolly redo my hair.

I refer to myself in the plural sometimes. I also refer to myself in the third person.

I talk to myself. Like, conversations....
Mookhow: "Did I take my medicine tonight?"
Mookhow: "I don't think you did."
Mookhow: "Let's see, I... *recounts events of the evening* No, I don't think I took my medicine yet."
Mookhow: "Yeah, you should take it now."
Mookhow: "Yeah."

Actually, this might explain my previously stated quirks...
