I truly see that you've proudly stated that you judge people based on their religion. Knowing that about you, it's easy to see what you do even when you don't state it honestly.

THIS is racism done right...

I discussed this topic with some friends at work not long ago (2 of them black), and not only did they agree that they didn't feel like they were being prejudiced against because of a few stereotypes (one said he was more frustrated by the numbers that act that way to create the stereotype)...they summed it up quite nicely with a rather amusing statement.

"Not all of us like chicken and watermelon. But come to one of our cookouts, you're gonna find chicken and watermelon there."

I had a buddy back before I joined the AF(he had gone in and before me and told me it was a good career choice...I was on the fence at that time about it) name of Frank Robinson. I used to joke with him that he was the only black guy I knew who didn't like watermelon, wasn't that partial to fried chicken and enjoyed country music. He used to tell me I was one of the few white guys who had groove, had a better jump shot than he displayed and who's lips were bigger.

Yeah, my mom is pretty loud too. My roommate is louder though because she sings all the time. When she's not singing she's talking loudly on the phone.

I don't know what the big deal is about the stereotype that black people liking fried chicken and watermelon...everyone likes fried chicken and watermelon. It's delicious.

We were actually talking about this exact stereotype at work, and even the the (whitest kid on earth) vegetarian loves fried chicken...

Don't get me started on cornbread.

The fried chicken and watermelon stereotype is almost like having a stereotype that white people like sleeping in on weekends.

Ahhh, but if you were to put that stereotype forward (that white people like sleeping in on weekends) you'd be accused of being a racist because of the implication (in the minds of the white knights) that white people have jobs that don't allow them to sleep in during the week, but other races...
