I think he milked the story way too much. I mean, sure - I can see how some people might get a bit skeevish about the perceived similarity, but it's not that big a deal and certainly not worth a 9 minute rant.

I think he was over-dramatizing it because the story itself is kind of funny. But looking at the picture, I am guessing it wasn't nearly as bad as he makes it out to be. The first thing that registers to me when I saw the picture was: halloween ghost costume.

Although if his daughter attends an all-caucasian, faculty-behinds-wound-super-tight, I-don't-even-know-how-to-spell-'poor' type of school then I could see the story having a bit more truth. Those types of people (yeah, "you people!") are always the first ones to play the racist card when A. There isn't a thing racist about what is going on. and B. They aren't even of the race they are getting their panties in a twist over.

I do think Penn Jillette is awesome though.
