You really should give Arizona a try

I've lived there.

Aw, this was back from before Penny Arcade's art started making me sad. Good times.

Huh? Really? I'm curious, now.

Gabe's art has evolved to be really...loose. The above comic is what I consider to be the "golden years" era, where the characters had more structure. I liked it the best. Now, to me, it looks like he became entranced by some old Ren & Stimpy episodes, and I utterly hate John Kricfalusi's art (and his shows, but c'est la vie).

I don't care for bright Sun light either, but that's because I have an eye condition. I don't like heat, bugs, or pollen either. But I'm happy to be on Earth for another Summer just the same.

Once you start seeing how many years you roughly have left on this mud ball, and calculate how many of each season you will get to see.......it starts to make you appreciate each one a little more.

Aha. Yes, I can relate to and agree with your assessments. I read your original post twice and just failed to parse the "art" word there both times. I'm a little on the fence about the newer stuff, though, because I do acknowledge that Gabe's been offering some really expressive panels of late. I do wish he could have found that expression in something closer to his older style, though.

No wonder Raltar hated LA.

Here Raltar, try one of these places, just make sure you can get the internet there.

Gives a new meaning to the term "man cave".
