E!Online reports that the actor is in talks to remake Brandon Lee's final film, 'The Crow,' a 1994 supernatural thriller in which Lee's character, who is murdered alongside his fiancee, is resurrected to avenge their deaths and fight evil.

Brandon Lee, son of famous actor and martial artist Bruce Lee, was tragically killed during filming on 'The Crow' when a prop gun accidentally fired a bullet into his spine during a a fight scene.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, director of '28 Weeks Later,' has signed on to direct the remake.


'The Crow' is an adaptation of James O'Barr's comic of the same name.

The film was a box-office hit, grossing over $50 million dollars, and produced three sequels, 'The Crow: City of Angels,' 'The Crow: Salvation,' and 'The Crow: Wicked Prayer,' all of which where commercial failures.

I never got why people like The Crow so much. It was pretty boring.

I have fairly fond memories of it, though nothing extreme. I also don't have any strong feelings on a remake except for one...

...isn't it way too soon for this kinda thing?

Maybe if they intend to reimagine the whole story, somehow. But if it's a fairly standard remake I am just left wondering why.

While I liked the original Crow, does it really need to be remade?

Come on Hollywood, I know you're getting original scripts every day, take a chance.

you know... they could swing it into another of the "not Eric Draven... but another lost soul" direction like they did with the other films. Make it a sequel and not a remake and I would be on board.

I enjoyed the crow, it seems like it is the legacy Brandon Lee left us with. Leave it as a sign of respect to him and his father.

FFS... remake Enter the Dragon with Mark Dacascos before you *** up a newer movie. :(

Hey even better... if you insist on remaking the crow, let the guy who played Eric Draven on the TV show (Dacascos) play the role, he knows the character and he is a decent martial artist.

Wow, I didn't realize they made THREE sequels to the original film. The first two were pretty awful.

Regardless, when I hear "Remake", I think "original story with new actors and faster cuts for the younger audience".

Oh well, we can always hope that it's better than the original. Damn, just threw up in my mouth a little.

This. Also, if 3 sequels flopped, why on earth would they think that a remake of the original would do well? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it hadn't been Brandon Lee and he hadn't died on set, I don't even think the original would be that memorable.
Unless they are planning Bradley Cooper's accidental death, I don't think this remake is going to be a success.

The soundtrack for the original was amazing, but yes the film was pretty terrible. It would have been a bigger flop if Brandon Lee had survived production.
