WTF is this ****?

It was many years ago. It was for a very short amount of time. I had a fascination with the nostalgia of the team and how I felt they were such a big part of Americana and representative of the golden age of baseball.

I changed my tune quickly and have never faltered since. I have been with all my Philly teams every other moment of my life. Through every losing season and every blown playoff chance, I have suffered.

I may be many other things, but a bandwagon fan I am not.

I beg to differ. Raell, while awesome in his own right, is *not* the most wonderful thing in Detroit.

Woohoo!

Montréal steals the first two games of the series in Boston!

Going home with a 2-0 lead is nice.

The B's have absolutely fallen apart, and at the worst possible time against the worst possible opponent.

Boston has always been their little *****. They will crush the B's and be done in the second round.

I wasn't so confident about this series with the Bruins. Boston has taken 5 of their last 8 playoff meetings, and swept Montreal in the 2009 playoffs.

Anyway, if Buffalo can surprise the Flyers, Montreal gets to play either the Pens (Minus Crosby + Malkin), or Tampa. Montreal can win either of those matchups.

If Philladelphia holds on and wins, Montreal plays Washington. That...could be interesting. This is the same Capitals team that Montreal surprised in 7 last year, but they're not playing the same style of hockey that they did last year.

Yep, that's probably the best way of putting it. Boston is a good squad, and against anyone else I'd think they had at least a chance of coming back from 0-2....but against the Habs? Forget it. They smell blood in Montreal!

All I can explain it as was a fascination with the "mystique" that was the Yankees.

Obviously, it didn't work.

Back on track, though...The Flyers didn't play great on Saturday, but they split the series headed to Buffalo. This next game will be pivotal. They have to show something, that fire, that urge to win, or else they are done.

Poor Chicago, couldn't catch a break versus Van last night. Pretty sure they're playoff run is done.

I've done this, a bit, though I don't have a compelling interest in following hockey. Amdee was, indeed, a Preds fan because she had a friend who had season tickets, and would frequently take her to games.

Cheering the Preds gave me double enjoyment because it was supporting Amdee's team while annoying my friend who's a Blue Jackets fan.

Wow, the Flyers looked terrible once again.

The 5 minute major on Richards was a terrible call, but as one of the only bright spots, it was an amazing PK as Buffalo spent most of their time chasing the puck and got only 2 shots on goal.

Boucher looked great in net, but the offence just could not figure out Ryan Miller.

Series 2-2 coming back to Philly, so essentially a best of 3 series with Philly home ice advantage. Not expecting much, even if they somehow make it out of this series.
