Another reason I'm getting the 360 version: my wife wants to play it, and she does not want to become a PC gamer.

Has officially gone gold. Also, good news for those of you that are getting it for the PS3. You'll be getting it along with the PC and 360 users on the 3rd instead of the 17th.

Also, if you are looking for more exclusive items for the game, Dragon Age Journeys, a flash game. It has achievements and such as well as three unlockable items for completing the different objectives in the game. And the flash game is surprisingly...game like. It is a strategy RPG, similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. It has a full story, a save game feature, joinable NPCs...all for free. So, sign in with your account that you will link to the game and play to unlock those items for the actual game.

Yeah, glad I'm getting it for the PC instead of a console. Don't like the controller layout at all. Need my abilities ready without having to scroll through different setups.

Also, I find it odd that so many people get the tactics menu(everyone gets) confused with the tactical view(only PC gets).

6 slots on the hotkey bar is enough for me for **** I would regularly use in combat.

No clue why he kept going through the radial menu for **** he already had keyed up.

Probably just to show that he could do that.

Looks VERY similar to mass effect. I agree with the criticism that you have to reopen the radial menu for each character that you want to queue instructions for, but it looks like with the tactics menu in most "normal" combat your guys are going to be relatively self managed, it will only be for difficult battles that you'll need that level of granular control (although I do get a little command-nazi with my team sometimes too). Regardless, a lot of the interface remapped for the controller looks really intelligent. Hopefully we'll see most other console RPG's adopt a similar intuitive system.

10 dollar discount at amazon for buying brutal legend + 40 dollar discount for buying 2 other games = Dragon Age Origins for 6.99. Woo!

So, it looks like I'm buying this game twice. I already have my CE pc version on the way...but won't have a PC to play it at least until December. So, I'll be taking in Fallout 3 and Halo 3 to Gamestop, making the game $20 for the 360.

Steam, *****. I'll get to start it downloading before work, and play when I get home. (Steam must be on Pac time, so I won't get a chance to start before bed)

For those limited to consoles, according to Gamespot the PS3 version is the superior one (Better textures/color). Their review scores were -

PC - 95
PS3 - 90
360 - 85

Really though, hard to justify getting a console version if you have a PC that can run it.

Uhh, come again?
You do what, then? Record your own voice to be used in dialogue scenes?
I'd rather not have to listen to my own pre-recorded voice, thank you very much :P

I take it you didn't play Knights of the Old Republic (1 or 2), then?

Picking up my pre-purchased copy of the Collector's Edition from GameStop when I get out of school. I'd like to start playing right away, but it's the wife's birthday today, and she has other plans. Pretty sure she'd be pissed if I bailed to play my new game. :P

Curses! It still isn't here! Tracking said it left at 4:31 this morning and is out for Delivery. I guess I should probably expect it at about 3. *sigh* So want to play this...

A little confusion on my part had me submitting a ticket to Steam support this morning instead of kicking off my download.

As I went to have it install, I noticed it said Dragon Age: Origins instead of Dragon Age: Origins Digital Deluxe (the digital equivalent of the Collector's Edition).

Disturbed, I assumed I had misclicked when pre-purchasing it. So I submitted a ticket to see if there was a way to rectify the situation.

Turns out, they both show up that way in the games list, the Digital Deluxe Edition just comes with more keys. *shrug* Go figure.

Just means I got to play some tonight with the Borderlands I got yesterday, instead.
