I've spent the last 3 hours searching my house from top to bottom looking for my car key. I obviously drove home with it.
Can't find the **** thing and ready to rip out my own entrails if it would help me find it.

I had a spare. Its missing too.

I always find them in pockets of pants that are on the floor behind the bathroom door or in the washing machine. Under couch cushions and in between the creases of the couch are good hiding places as well.

Also check jacket pockets and in the ignition or the door of the vehicle itself.

Did you check the front door lock?

its ONLY my car key that is missing. The back snapped off of it so its broken from the rest of the ring. (have the fragment of the back, and before you ask, its not near the fragment)

I have a spare key that will get me in and out of the car, that isn't lost, but it doesnt have the RFID that allows the car to use the fuel pump.

I have two copies of this key with the RFID and both are now missing. Apparently both broke off the ring too.

At this point I'm starting to think my Lab ate it.

I've already called the dealership--replacement cost ~ 160$ + I have to have my car towed there (15 miles) for them to program the key.

I usually find mine on top of the fridge (I'm tall),or in one of the kitchen cabinets next to the glasses...

Occasionally in a jacket or pants pocket that I had forgotten I wore the day before, or in the gym bag...

I haven't lost them in a long time. Not since I started putting them in the same spot on my way in the house.

It broke off? Hate to say this...but you are screwed..who knows where it dropped.

I am constantly losing my keys...it's the bane of my existence. I need to be less ADD.

Found them. I looked under the couch no less than 10 times. It wasnt until I physically picked up the couch and moved it that I could find it. Spent most my time going through the trash, checking in the sheets of my bed, going through stacks of papers I was working on last night... *sigh*

I hope there was a hand washing in between those two steps.

When I spend more than 5 minutes looking for something, it is usually already in my hand, and I don't actually remember picking it up.

I once bought a pen because I couldn't find mine, stuck it behind my ear, and found the one I'd "lost".
