I had a sinus infection the middle of last month. Then my bf and one of his best friends came down with a nasty respiratory infection. Which I picked up over a week ago. I'm still coughing. He ended up having a fever last Monday, too, just as I came off of my antibiotics. Friday I had nausea, and Sat. night through Monday I had some rather unpleasant GI issues. Too add insult to injury, I get oral ulcers when I'm sick, so it hurt to eat for a few days on top of not being able to eat over the weekend.

I still have a productive cough (I'm an asthmatic, so any inflammation takes a while to go away), and everything aches. Was wondering why the heck my throat hurt so much today, and oh, is that a fever? Shiiit. Swollen tonsils and glands, and white exudate. ****, ****, damn! Well, that could explain the GI symptoms...

Kill me now.

No, the order is rape, loot, slaughter then burn. Since I have no intentions of doing the first two, I can't get to the third one, sorry.

Heh.

My doc's office was technically closed, but the office staff were still there. Antibiotics have been called in.

(My doc trusts me to know when I need them. Thankfully I don't have to wait until tomorrow to get started. I would have done so if needed, but it's nice not to have to expend more effort.)

That sucks! We can only hope that you're being efficient and getting all of your bi-annual sicknesses over all at one time so you can have a totally awesome spring and summer!

I still blame my bf. :)

But my daughter has been preternaturally cute while she tries to take care of mommy. ("Here. I brought you an apple, an orange, and some marshmallows shaped like hearts.")

The cough can go away any time. Body aches plus aches from coughing... not fun. How does one person produce so much goo???

Prolly heard this already...but drink lots of fluids, it helps to thin the goo...

Hugs, hope you feel better soon!

My oldest daughter has been having this problem with sinus infections and coughing lately too. Thankfully, she is old enough now to take the insurance card and take herself to the hospital, so my wife didn't have to drag the 2 little ones along taking her to the emergency room when I was away.

Hope you feel better, Ser.

Thanks, DE. The strep symptoms subsided within a day of starting the z-pack, thankfully. The cough can go away now. (Time to start praying to St. Walburga!)
