It's not "everyone," it's people that do business with the federal government.

Tell me, do you think, say, Bob Jones University should be required to disclose every political contribution they have ever made to anyone ever simply because they receive federal education money?

No. However, the real question is: Why should Jim's Trucking Company have to, as well as everyone else who is performing paid service for the Gov't, except for public sector unions. Again, myopia.

Public sector unions aren't performing a paid service for the government. They're not paid by the government at all, they're paid for by the workers.

I used imprecise language, I apologize.
Why should Jim's Trucking Company have to, as well as everyone else who is performing paid service for the Gov't, except for public sector unions, who do business with the Gov't as well?

Have you thought of what the "purpose" of this order is? Could you tell me how exempting people who negotiate with the Gov't would be in line with this purpose?
