No one suggested you felt that way. (Wait, isn't that EXACTLY what you accused everyone else of doing? assigning a position to someone they dont actually hold?) We were pointing out that while you feel that 'some people' out there will see these as evidence of conspiracy, a quick examination of other birth records will likely reveal the same inconsistancies and take the wind out of anyone's sails who tries to make that argument. Somepeople will still see conspiracy but they were never going to be convinced by evidence anyway.

Khross, could you kindly explain what the difference is between a "birth certificate", "certification of live birth" and "certificate of live birth", and why the difference is important to this issue? You've been pointing this out for some time now but I do not beleive you've explained the significance.

A Birth Certificate is a "Certificate of Live Birth" which documents the event at the time of happening by an approved medical professional (this includes midwives working for appropriately licensed facilities) and filed with the state. They, at a minimum, include the information documented within today's release.

"Certifications of Live Birth" are typically no more than statements that said person was indeed born, much like the short form that Obama previously released.

They're legally discrete documents.

Both were initially signed on the 7th, despite the birth dates. Susan's was likely printed first.

The form number is more likely to be associated with the number of forms created than the tied to each birth. It's reasonable to assume that the secretary input Susan's data before Obama's.

Just curious...and don't confuse my question with anything other than pure curiosity...

How much effort do you think you would have to go to if you wanted to create your own Hawaiian birth certificate? Without needing to be notarized, it seems trivial to me. About the only way to get caught up would be to duplicate an existing series number, it seems. This day and age, with so many security checks requiring a birth certificate, it just seems odd.

Also, I've recently used my birth certificate for identification and there was a requirement for an embossed seal.

One of the most annoying of the morning radio personalities my alarm is set to so that I get out of bed to shut him off made me laugh this morning. For weeks he has been harping on the lack of a legitimate birth certificate and why it is such a big issue. This morning he was blasting Obama for wimping out and releasing it - he shouldn't have given in to pressure from Trump. No matter what Obama does, he is wrong - according to this guy.

All the points posted by Khross are interesting, and I imagine a "birther" (what a ridiculous name) would find Obama guilty of producing a forgery for any one of them.

Common sense (which is in short supply these days) would dictate that one would examine other birth certificates to see if some of the points raised are valid.

I checked out mine and my wife's and the dates that the certificate were signed on were not written by the attending physician nor the parent. The dates had been typed in, and the signatures (theoretically) could have been added later. No idea, that was 46 years ago.

The birth certificate of my son, born just 13 years ago doesn't even include the signature of a parent. It lists the parent, and the physician signed it, but there is no parental signature. And the physician signed it 2 days after my son was born.

I agree with Mr. Sky. Birthers don't care if the certificate is real or not, they just wanna stir the poo up.

Not sure what the purpose of doing that would have been, aside from the obvious assumption that this is fake. However, even hiding the layers like I did, you can still see what looks to be the original text underneath it so maybe they just cleaned **** up digitally. Who knows.
