As part 1 was a road trip, this is supposed to be an action film, with a slight British reserve.

Rally looking forward to the final battle.

I never got to see the end of part 1 on an airplane. Guess I'll have to rent it or something to see that last 25 minutes ;(

I really liked part 1, it was by far my favorite of the movies so far. Can't wait to see part 2.

So much camping. First they camped, then they moved somewhere else, then Ron got all pissed off. Then he came back. Then more camping.

It was super exciting.

I remember camping and pulling Excalibur out of the Lake, but other than that...

Right, but my point was that truly, we can all agree that the camping was the real star of the film. :D

I rather liked the story of the three brothers.

That segment was incredible. It was by far the most enjoyable part of the movie, and I really enjoyed the whole thing.

It was the most disappointing movie I have ever watched. It was almost devoid of the kind of emotions which made the last book so great. I am so lacking in excitement that I'm just going to go to sleep... because i'm actually depressed by having watched that.

It was almost devoid of the bravery which typifies the Griffindor house. Everything was just mediocre... The parts where it was changed does not do justice to the in depth characters, so lovingly built... destroyed in 1 stupid movie.

Spoiler:
The parts where I enjoyed the most about the book were where Neville cuts down the snake head right after he was tortured, or molly's duel with bellatrix, or snape's death and memories were all altered slight and thus lost their grandeur and meaning.

The final scene with the next generation was so hastily done that you don't get the feeling of mutual respect, the hope for a more united future or a sense of closure, it was all just meh.

If I had to sum the movie up, it would be just meh, really nothing to get excited about.

My experience was different from Lydiaa's. I thought the movie was very good (although as always it pales compared to the book). I went with friends and family and we all got dressed up and had a party (yup, we're nerds). There was a lot of excitement at the movie theater (one of the largest in Boston) which made the whole night a lot more fun. Until I saw Lydiaa's post I didn't think any HP fan would be disappointed.

Spoiler:
The acting by the adults is exquisite and McGonagal is a hoot with perhaps the best line in the movie. The duel between Molly and Bellatrix is included although it feels rushed. My biggest complaint (other than the usual one about leaving out lots of scenes from the book) are all the scenes with Neville. It seems as if the actor wasn't very good. Props to the director for not letting CGI take over.

The look of the actors in the 19-years-later epilogue was almost silly (is that Ron with a paunch?!) but they got the rest of it right and it ended well.
