If the President announced it you'll get all the proof you want. Expert testimony, expert testimony about DNA samples, video and audio and anything else you like.

The government has the ability to fake all of this and present whatever they want whenever they want. Whats proof mean now?

I would think that the second that he was killed and it was actually verifiable that it would be waved up and down the nation as it is now. To pull it out now after having known doesn't make a ton of sense. Sure his ratings are in the toilet but I think it would make a bigger hammerfall later in a well placed moment. I know anything is possible with a cover up but to pull something like that with the consequences are pretty stupid.

Well, apparently this Bin Laden thing is going to solve all of our problems.

Look the credit for this doesn't go to Obama or Bush. It goes to the baddasses on the ground who killed him in a firefight with zero casualties on our side.

That some sheep with credit Obama or anyone else, its not really an issue. They got him. The US CANNOT claim they killed him without the opposition just putting him out there saying "oops, you were wrong" and any popularity that was won by claiming they killed him backlashes worse than ever before.


As it stands now, I worry about reprisal attacks. He makes a good figurehead on both sides and there will be a cost in US lives when the retaliation comes.

I agree, the burial at sea is a bonehead move prone to creating rumors about it not being Osama bin laden but a look alike. Then again, if it was obvious he died execution style, that bonehead move might have been to cover that fact.

It didn't happen. This is merely a political ploy to secure Obama's re-election; and I hope the American public is smart enough to see this. If those allegations are true, the facts will come out, and it won't take log. Government is incompetent, and government is really incapable of the level of conspiracy required to hide something like this. Too many people would know the truth. Furthermore, your president is little more than a figurehead anyway. The govenrment goes on as it does regardless of who you elect.

Anyway, the only way that they could even hope to pull off a con of this magnitude is if OBL is already dead. It would be very inconvenient for a live OBL to pop up and deny his demise, which means we've already been conned on the issue for years, which seems even more unlikely. One coverup is hard enough.
