I doubt that if I do, the words, video, and transcripts will qualify under your definition of racism, Elmo.

One of the key disonnects here is that the bar for what constitutes racism is extremely high here. It often feels as if unless Rush Limbaugh showed up at a KKK rally, nothing he said or did would constitute racism.

Racism is the belief that one race is superior to others.

I'm sorry, but pointing out racism is not bigoted. It's simply a statement of observable fact. Limbaugh is a racist. He has been a racist for a very, very long time. No one is making it up. Limbaugh simply lacks the integrity to take responsibility for his speech. I don't have to convince *you* or anyone else here that he's a racist. And saying he is a racist is not actually bigoted, even if people don't like hearing it.

Yes, someone is making it up. You. The statements you have used and people like you have been proven to be false. And yet, you still hold to your misguided belief. Facts be damned, you and the folks who think like you will believe what you want. Truth? Screw that.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

When I walk outside, and I observe that it is sunny, it's no different than when I turn on the radio, and observe that Rush Limbaugh is a racist.

I'm certain Rush loses sleep at night because some folks call him a racist and/or a bigot. He has enough money to buy in on an NFL team. That'd help ya sleep just fine, I'd think. :)

Im sure he doesn't lose any sleep at all over his racism, especially if he's high.

Just because words going together to make an syntactically correct statement doesn't mean anything.

Except that you don't observe that he's a racist because that's not an observation. You observe that he says certain things. You then conclude they are racist. Racism is not a directly observable thing.

I observe in this thread that you are incorrect. Each post you continue to assert that observation.

Show actual racist transcripts. Stop using the cop-out that "well you won't find them racist". Prove your point. You have yet to answer the questions of you in this thread. Continuing to dismiss other posters and muttering "racist" does not prove your point.

Every word Rush says is documented. Show us where he is being racist.

If racism is perceived on a statement prior to that statement being made, then the fault of being racist lies with the one who perceived it.
If racism is evident on a statement after the statement is made, then the fault of being racist lies with the one who made the statement.

When a statement could be taken as both racist or non-racist, then the one who perceives it as being racist is at fault for racism. (Essentially seeking out racism and discounting other meaning).
When a statement could only be taken as an attack on a race, then the one who perceives it being non-racist is at fault for racism. (Essentially seeking out non-racism and discounting the other meaning).

The above are personal opinion and something about fitting shoes. >=D

I don't know if it's you or him whose quote attributions are broken, but would you mind fixing it so that I don't look to be saying something I'm not?

Thanks! :D

It sure isn't.

Slander and libel because you disagree with a man's politics and false accusations against him is, though.

According to the English language, that's the definition of the word.

This post was reported. It was reported, essentially, for flaming.

Well poisoning is involved, but no attack on any poster here.

As such, I'll simply state: Nitefox, please don't generalize statements like this to groups as a whole (don't poison the well with broad-ranging statements that may or may not be true). Consider yourself informally warned.

Luckily, the truth is proof against libel and slander.

In law, defamation – also called calumny, libel, slander (for spoken words), and vilification (for written or otherwise published words) – is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. It is usually, but not always,[1] a requirement that this claim be false and that the publication is communicated to someone other than the person defamed (the claimant).

Keep typing sparky. Right here you are again proven incorrect. One day you will be forced to take part in the largest session of crow eating ever to be seen by the human race. And the sad part is.. no one from the glade will get to watch it.

I am just pointing out that you continue on an almost daily basis to be libelous to several people here on the board, to conservatives in general and to Rush Limbaugh.

So present proof.

You could use the fabricated quotes, except they're fabricated.

You could use a statement he's made, except that may only evidence a particular statement on a particular day on a particular issue.

To prove racism, you must be able to prove thoughts. You have committed libel, whether you which to acknowledge that or not.

This post was reported for flaming.

Reading from the dictionary and citing wikipedia is not namecalling or flaming, unless you modify wikipedia to say, "So and so is an *******." Then it is.

Can someone be banned/suspended for reporting things that are obviously not worth reporting on a continued basis?

It could maybe be considered spam, but I'd consider that a bit hypocritical of the forum rules considering we encourage people to respond to rules violations via reports rather than direct responses.

Since that is the best way to report perceived violations, I think it should continue. I post public comments on reported posts to try and help establish the standard here, since we've been years without moderation. Thus, by posting in the open about reports, we can all learn what the guidelines and interpretations are.
