Not sure about PPPoE, but definitely DHCP.

We have functional v6 FUT's with all of the major ISP's in quite a few markets, so I'm pretty sure the major ISP's are on board.

Cable modems and DSL I'm not sure about as that is not an area we deal with.

I did a bit of research and it looks like most infrastructure is all set for ipv6. So I take back my earlier statement.

For those of you in support roles (or are just curious), if you aren't already aware, June 8th is World IPv6 day.

http://server10.test-ipv6.com/ipv6day.html

Quote:
How will World IPv6 Day impact Internet users?
One of the goals of World IPv6 Day is to expose potential issues under controlled conditions and address them as soon as possible. The vast majority of users should be able to access services as usual, but in rare cases, misconfigured or misbehaving network equipment, particularly in home networks, may impair access to participating websites during the trial. Current estimates are that 0.05% of users may experience such problems, but participating organizations will be working together with operating system manufacturers, home router vendors and ISPs to minimize the number of users affected. Participants will also be working together to provide tools to detect problems and offer suggested fixes in advance of the trial.

There is a lot of good info on recognizing, fixing and/or mitigating (potential) ipv6 issues at this site.

Are they only having one World IPv6 day, or will it be a recurring event?

In theory, by the time a second annual World IPv6 day would be possible, it will be too late.

I tired to call Cox and inquire about their IPv6 readiness. and they were clueless as to WTF I was talking about.

I have a smart phone with Verizon and I have Comcast at home... it's unlikely I'll be in the dark.

It's easy enough to test. Check your network adapter to make sure the v6 protocol is enabled (I'm pretty sure it is by default in Windows 7), then see if you can ping (or browse to) ipv6.cnn.com (or any number of other ipv6 enabled sites).

Code:
C:\>ping ipv6.cnn.com

Pinging ipv6.cnn.com [2620:100:e000::8001] with 32 bytes of data:

I get the same actually. I can't ping the normal cnn.com either on this laptop (Windows XP) or from a Linux server in Cali. google.com works on both.

It looks like the DNS servers you are querying do not return a AAAA record for ipv6.cnn.com.

And I'm betting your host activated a Teredo tunnel to reach the ipv6 address.

You should be able to get something a lot like this, if you have access to a machine with dig available.
Spoiler:
me@myhost:~$ dig ipv6.cnn.com any

According to the test websites... yes they did.

Just a reminder, for those who care, World IPv6 day starts at 5pm today.

Here is a link to some troubleshooting information in the unlikely event that you encounter problems.

And for those of you having troubles with IPv6 while using a Microsoft Windows product, you will be pleased to know that Microsoft has made available the following Knowledge Base article, explaining how to resolve your problem by ceasing to use IPv6.

And could Moo explain why the Glade is not participating in IPv6 day?
me@myhost:~$ dig gladerebooted.org aaaa
