I'm not saying he's innocent, just innocent until proven guilty and the condom by itself does not generate sufficient proof, especially with a reasonable explanation.

The trust developed in a relationship over a ten year marraige is not the same as justice metered out in a court of law. Once it's gone, it's gone, and no one is under any sort of obligation to hold their standards of personal trust to those of a legal burden of proof.

I'm pretty sure he was cheating, and I wouldn't let Michael Jackson watch my child or OJ Simpson date my sister.

You might. Some people take their partner masturbating as an attack on their own sexuality. Some people just have unusual hangups.

I would say that the condom raises a nontrivial likelyhood of cheating, but... there is no reason to assume he is lying in the absence of other evidence. If the woman is assuming he is lying because "no one would do that", then she has trust issues that were unfounded before she found the condom.

Kirra you seem pretty sure that the guy cheated, but the evidence provided is not concrete and his excuse is a legitimate one. Easy, lazy way to not worry about a mess.

In my experience if she didn't already have doubts she wouldn't question it.

It's not that I'm sure he is cheating, because there are many things we don't know. Based on the facts presented, I think it is very easy to go either way in your thinking due to the experiences each of us have gone through..so, with that being said, I guess I do lean to the idea of him being a cheater. I thought it was an interesting situation that was presented, so I thought I would share and see what opinions people had here. The radio audience was by far more condemning and about 9 out of 10 said he was cheating.

I learn to look at things differently each time on certain posts...it's very interesting to hear everyone's point of view.

If cheating were a crime and I was on this man's jury, I couldn't find him guilty based solely on the presence of said condom. Grounds for a search warrant or surveillance yeah...

Or if there were other evidence to invoke a preponderance of evidence.

Yeah, and it's a pain in the *** to take a shower every time. Keeping a sock around is kind of gross, and toilet paper gets everywhere. I'm sure rubbers have their issues too, but maybe that's this guy's preference.
