One coupon per sale per person per day.....

Or some such...

What is the point? Even when I used to work in retail, I didn't know how to respond after I told people that they could only use one coupon per customer and they countered with, "Well, then separate the transaction. I'll buy one and my (wife, husband, etc.) will purchase the other."

The rule is so easily circumvented. Oonagh and I ran into this at the supermarket the other day. We had 2 manufacturer coupons good for a product up to $5.00. We selected to products under the dollar value and tried to check out. The cashier looked at the coupons and fed us the "one per customer" line. I really should have just gotten into another line to just use the other coupon, but I guess I just didn't feel like it. I remember how I felt when people said to me "Just ring them separately" and didn't want to do that to this innocent cashier who is only doing what she is trained to do.

For the life of me, though, I'll never understand this stupid line on coupons that prevents nothing when the customer(s) is so inclined to work around it.

Well, if you made the concession to "two per customer per day" since couples would separate the transactions, then couples would still separate the transactions and get 4 instead of 2.

Wait...you take up a whole basket full of **** and you can only use one coupon? Just one? I spend a 100 bucks on a week or two's worth of **** and I could only use one coupon?

Please tell me I am not understanding something.

One of the same type, I believe. You can't buy a year's supply using buy-two-get-one-free coupons.

A specific product that there is a coupon for has a 'tarded limitation that only one of that coupon per day can be used.

So if you have a coupon for 10 lbs of russett potatoes, one per customer per day. It will not interfere with using your coupon for $0.87 a pound for bulk caramel candies, and vice versa.
