Not sure if I posted this here for you Rogues but I got my Rogue to 50 to go along with my Warrior. I found Ranger + Nightblade to 30 to be great and then switch to something like this:

Bladedancer - Riftstalker. This build destroys in PvE questing. Just zip from mob to mob and no downtime. You're healed every encounter by Rift Scavanger. Every 2 minutes you can pull a ton (7 or 8?) of mobs and AE them down with Dancing Steel.

Bladedancer/Riftstalker is damn smooth soloing. Haven't worked my way up to dancing steel yet (too much tastiness in riftstalker to go straight for it), but yeah.

Riftstalker's mechanics have made it by far the most interesting soul/support soul to melee with I've found. Too much other stuff is just "design or copy a clever macro and mash it."

hmm.. I might have to try one of those just for something different.

I've been playing Ranger/Markman/Assassin since I started. Using the boar tank I don't have too much trouble facerolling most PVE quest stuff. I get into trouble with elites my level or above, depending on how fast they turn the pet into bacon.

Did you stay with Bladedancer/Riftstalker all the way from 35-50? My RNG/MRK/ASN is currently 40'ish.

Anyone tried Bard? I've read that it makes a good third spec.

I haven't taken the time to experiment with alternate builds. When I have time to log in, I usually just go straight to questing...

My easy mode PvE spec is Bard/Ranger 34/32. I can solo multiples almost continually. Epics my level can be dicey if I'm not paying attention. Contributes well to public quests.

I have not tried a 51 Bard, nor have I researched the advantages. I find that the 34/32 hybrid has great utility and still allows me to kill things at a reasonable pace.

I'm PvPing with either:

51 Marksman / 9 Nightblade /?? (I forget off the top of my head). Ranged DPS with minor utility.

51 Riftstalker / 8 Bladedancer / 7 Ranger. Great for running objectives.

34 Bladedancer / 32 Nightblade. I actually don't use this one all that much. I can take people out fairly quick, but unless I have dedicated healing im too squishy to be all that fun.

Yeah i still have the Bladedancer Riftstalker at 50 for when I'm just running around killing stuff for cash or whatnot.

PvP I run 38 MM / 28 NB / 0 Inf at 50 or 51 Marks 15 Infiltrator

I also have a Bard / Riftstalker spec that i use from time to time. I think it would be much better in PvE since you should always have something to hit reliably. PvP it can be pretty sketchy.

So this is odd...

I recently transfered my main character as my shard was being converted to some kind of test shard or something. Anyway, as I'm looking through the shards, I notice I have two other characters on two other shards. One is a cleric I started up but haven't touched in a while. The other is some rangerish character that is up to level 13 that is...well out of no where. I didn't create it much less level it up to 13. Any ideas?

Well it seems my account was hacked!

I logged on two days ago to check out that character. Played around with it for about 30 minutes(hadn't messed with a rogue build) and then went back to my normal character. Well, I didn't play the next day but wanted to play yesterday. So I log on, or attempt too, and it tells me my account has been suspended/banned! I check my email and there was a ticket submitted by someone else on behalf of that other character. Goofy stuff I'm tellin ya.

Anyway, I get things sorted out with the game folks and I should be up and running again today or tomorrow as the upper tier folks have to give the issue their blessing.
