I've not seen the fourth, but your scores, Taly, are about where I'd put the other three. I might take away half a star from Dead Man's Chest and At World's End depending on my surliness of mood, but the first stands as one of the finest adventure movies out there. I'd easily rank it up with something like Raiders of the Lost Ark or Star Wars.

I sometimes rate Dead Man's chest a half star lower, too. However, i occasionally rate At World's End a half star higher. The movie is just so...epic, for lack of a better word, it almost overcomes its horrifically convoluted plot.

Positives, more Geoffrey Rush, more Keith Richards, if he hadn't have been a rock star he could easily have been a great character actor.

is cute, but I kept noticing the camera angles they used to hide the fact she was pregnant. If I hadn't of already known that I may well have guessed by halfway through the movie.

Necroposting to report I've finally gotten around to seeing this and I would very solidly place it as "not as good as the first but better than the second and third".
