Arrrgh! I am racking my brain trying to figure out how in the hell this song got in there. I know I have not heard this song, or a piece of this song, in almost 20 years. But it's stuck in there, and it will not let go. I'm getting desperate enough that I may have to pull out the Big Guns to get rid of it (Low Rider or Funkytown).

Spoiler:
Love me tender,
Love me sweet,
Never let me go.
You have made my life complete,
And I love you so.

Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.

Love me tender,
Love me long,
Take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong,
And well never part.

Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.

Love me tender,
Love me dear,
Tell me you are mine.
I'll be yours through all the years,
Till the end of time.

Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.

Wow Darksiege, I didn't know Al was releasing another album. I am glad to hear that, but the downside is that I am too out of touch to recognize the source of any of his parodies.

The actual song isn't posted on YouTube, but here is where I originally heard it.

Ah Nee Mah - Ancient Spirits

One of the most talented guitarists and writers I've heard.

Awesome! Love Jesse Cook!

I have that exact model of Godin guitar, and I've played everywhere on the fretboard. Evidently, mine is defective, as I can't find any of those notes! :p

Someone posted this a week ago. Absolutely awesome. This is the future of DJing and one of the most technical applications of Ableton Live that I've seen. Tak about taking sample programming to a level of music creation.

Instead of just mixing one or two whole tracks, this shows what can be achieved by programming bits and pieces of samples from different songs to create an entire new work. That it is done in real time is what will be very useful to pushing DJing forward.

That's pretty cool, great song.

Seems like it's tracker music with a fancy blinky interface. I did a lot of that in the 90s...

Well, there is a very significant difference in that Tracker is essentially a piano roll sequencer that can import samples. What Ableton Live allows you to do is sequence samples on the fly, the emphasis on live. If you prepare your samples and are intimate with which ones wound like what, you can literally improvise on the fly almost like a guitarist soloing live where they might play a variation of the actual studio recorded riff. Because Ableton keeps everything pitched correctly in terms of both the root key and tempo, it doesn't matter if you derived the sample selection based on a certain programming sequence; you can rearrange it to make new sounds on the fly.

You can hear, for example, he utilizes 8 bar phrasing with the two pairs of 4 bar phrases being terminated with different samples to make the transition to the new 8 bar phrases sound more natural. But the actual samples are only half a measure long to a little under an entire measure. With only those samples selected, the combination of different overall songs that could be created are nigh endless.
