I thought I'd come to accept bad spelling on the internet. Then I stumbled across the word "aspesually". To reassure myself that this was an isolated case, I Googled it. The search results failed to comfort or reassure me in any way...

Found on the registration page of a message board:

In Roman Mythology, Spes was the goddess of hope. A-Spes-ually, being an adverb, must therefore mean, "doing/being/having something without hope."

At least, I hope so. Otherwise, I'm aspesual about the future of the english language and the human species.
