I doubt any drug-related violence reduction would be related to pot. Marijuana is not crack. People do not get addicted in one join, nor rob liquor stores to get that next hit.

I'd also say that pot, if legal, should be grown here, not by Mexican drug cartels getting rewarded for years of violence. Push them out of the market with locally-grown weed as a punishment.

It's not exactly that legalized. The rules for it's use and sale are very specific, and they still have issues with being hassled by "the man."
