Kirk/TOS. I liked parts of DS9, but remember that the only reason it actually had something of a plot may be because of Babylon 5.

TNG never did it for me (alt.wesley.crusher.die.die.die), never followed Enterprise at all. Voyager was OK.

Yeah, still one outstanding episode, though.

I have some agreement with you. My ideal crew: Janeway (or Picard, if taken after First Contact when he's already grown a pair), Spock (first officer), Dax (Science/Comm), Data (navigation), Scott (engineer), Worf (tactical), Odo (Security), Bashear (Medical). I'd pick Quark over Guinan if there's a bar on the ship.
Midgen & Taly ... which Dax? Jadzia or Ezri?

Kirk / TOS

Never really cared for DS9 but like Arafys I am a B5 fan.

I liked them all (except Enterprise), so really can't choose. I remember when Star Trek TOS was first coming out...I begged my dad to let me stay up past bedtime to watch it...he said no! :(

Ended up watching most of the series in reruns, and all of the other series (except Enterprise) in prime time as they aired. Enterprise I tried to get into but just couldn't.

As far as Captains are concerned, it's a three-way tie between Kirk, Picard, and Janeway.

That's an .....interesting..... mental picture.

I never really gave Voyager a chance. It felt too much like Gilligan's Island In Space to me back when it first aired. And Janeway's voice grated on me something fierce. She's perfect for Flemeth though.

I put it in my queue, so I am at least willing to give it a shot again.

Hahahaha...Kirk and Janeway in a threeway I could certainly see. Janeway being a woman, and Kirk being, well, Kirk...not to mention that Janeway is on record as practically idolizing Kirk and the frontier cowboy early Federation types.

I just can't imagine Jean-Luc being part of that three-way. Perhaps if they'd used an actual frenchman to play him, but no...they picked a limey.

The writing is very inconsistent, and the show takes a couple seasons to find its stride. It doesn't really become interesting until they approach Borg space.

I always liked Mulgrew's voice because she reminds me of Kathryn Hepburn, and I loved Hepburn.

I kinda liked Voyager except for Janeway. She was **** horrible. Anyway, I voted for Picard/TNG. I've actually watched every episode of TNG, so that's probably why. Picard was less likely to open fire than other captains, but TNG was in a different time period where things were trying to be diplomatic. Plus, I just liked the crew of TNG overall much more than the rest. Again, this could just be because it was the first series I actually sat down and watched.
