Speaking of Borderlands - Am i just sucky or is a sniper not exactly the best character to play? I never seem to be able to get ina good position, or when I do, like ASSTONS of those mutated... wolf things come at me...

Sniper's okay, but I wouldn't want to try soloing with it. In any case, though, there's a reason the Hunter favors pistols, too.

Sniping is ok, once you get the right weapon. One of the one's that fires 5X for every single trigger press while zoomed is super awesome. I don't remember what it's called, but you'll know it when the "red" text in the description says "BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!" Makes a HUGE difference, especially with crits/headshots. But it eats through ammo pretty fast.

Also, resist the temptation to put all your skill points into the sniper tree in the beginning. Instead, focus on the Rogue (Bloodwing) talents. Specifically, Out for Blood, and aiming to max out Bird of Prey. As a solo sniper, having your Bloodwing attack 6 enemies and healing you for a % of the dmg done is HUGE. Plus, the sniper tree has the Carrion call talent that reduces the cooldown on Bloodwing, every time you shoot someone with a sniper rifle. Pretty nice.
