2 cans Pork and Beans
1 can Lima Beans
1 can Butter Beans
1 can Kidney Beans
1 can tomato paste
1 lb of bacon
Diced onions to taste
Brown sugar to taste

Rinse all the beans, except for the pork and beans. Combine in a bowl, add the tomato paste and mix it in. Cook the bacon and crumble it in. Add the amount of onions you like (I hate onions, so I don't add them in) add brown sugar till it tastes just a bit sweet...mix well!

Eat some right away, or put in the fridge for the next day. Good cold or warm!

Sounds pretty good for making baked beans in a pinch, but there's no substitute for baked beans made from scratch. I use Alton Brown's recipe and it's just... well, it's not even fair to compare them to canned beans. They're so good. Anyone who considers themselves a fan of baked beans should try making them from scratch like that at least once.

I made this recipe this weekend. It was a huge hit! I was momentarily confounded by not knowing how big the cans of beans were supposed to be, but then I just said the hell with it and went with average. I ended up with an assload of beans but it was worth it!
