I'm up to date with Breaking Bad. I've watched all of Battlestar Galactica. Up to date on Game of Thrones. I just got all of Dexter, but havent seen any yet. After that, what is a must see series? Mad Men?

EDIT: Guess I should get Spartacus after reading the thread.

My answer to this as of late is a strong "Dexter" but you said you already have it but haven't watched it yet. Watch t, and avoid reading ANYTHING about the show online. Don't even go to Wikis. There are a lot of spoiler slips out there.

The only other tv show that is kind of recent that I've been watching and enjoying is Better Off Ted. It feels like a spiritual successor to Arrested Development.

Yeah I know next to nothing about Dexter other than the basic premise. Looking forward to that.

Not even ringing a bell so thanks, I'll check into it.

I found it by glade recommendation. Now i'm its biggest advocate. it's really my absolute favorite show on television.

The Wire should be next. You won't regret it.

I was going to say Breaking Bad before I opened the thread. But anyways, watch Weeds and Parks and Recreation.

The Wire and The Shield were awesome from start to finish.

Though it only went four seasons, I also really enjoyed My Name is Earl. I originally stayed away from it (even though I like Jason Lee) because it looked like another hick show. But it is much more than that and quite funny. I am glad I eventually gave it a chance.

My wife is really enjoying Supernatural, and from the bits and pieces I catch while she's watching it, I can see why.

That's odd. Netflix Canada doesn't have nearly the library that Netflix has in the USA (and all we have is instant-watch), but Mad Men has been available for at least 6 months.

I really like Lie to Me, and I was quite a fan of Human Target for the two seasons it lasted.

Sanctuary has it's moments, but "syfy" is being, well, syfy with it.

Eureka is probably one of my consistent favorites- good acting, quirky characters, and it's centered around scientists.

Ooh, Leverage is fun too. I found Season 3 much better than 1 or 2, personally.

I wasn't really blown away by any of the series you mention in your first post, Dash (Game of Thrones was good, but I didn't even finish the first season, so...yeah) so our tastes probably don't match up well. :)

Well, of course they don't match up when you're wrong... GITMH!

How was Boardwalk Empire. It kind of fell off the radar.

I've enjoyed it. New season starts in Sept. I think the last season just ended about a month ago IIRC, but they are still airing episodes.

So I am trying to get into Mad Men since everyone raves about it. I'm about three episodes in, and I realized something about this show that it is making it difficult to continue onward: I am watching a Soap Opera. Sure, it's got different set dressing and elements to fool you into thinking it's more "manly" but the reality is you're sitting on a couch in a mumu eating bon bons right before lunch and you're watching The Young and the Restless.

I'll give it a few more episodes to hopefully grow on me, but so far it's not looking good.

Yeah I thought Game of Thrones was good, not amazing but good. BSG was a very good start but I found the ending to be very meh and unsatisfying.

I'm through season 1 of Dexter now and so far it's great! I have some issues with it but overall I am enjoying it.

Eureka, Warehouse 13, and now, Alphas.

One more good show like this, and SyFy has a grand slam.
