This is what I think of the movie:

So I finally worked up the courage and watched "The Other Woman" after having it sit in my living room for 2 weeks. As the closing credits are rolling, I must admit I am disappointed. Yes, parts of the movie brought on tears, but only because I was remembering my own experiences. The characters in this movie were flat, much like the plot, and the lead actress (Natalie Portman) was entirely unconvincing. Her lack of emotion, whether through bad acting or bad screenplay-writing, among other things, made this movie completely unrealistic. I did enjoy the soundtrack though. I wish they had done a better job. I just kept waiting for those moments that you expect in a movie like that where you just connect to the characters and the plot and you just totally feel it and it just didn't happen for me in this movie...so disappointing. Even the climactic scene towards the end where she gets some information about her daughter's cause of death was disappointing...that was supposed to be the "aw breakdown" moment of the movie and it was sadly just a swing and a miss. I wish I had the patience...I know I could write a much better screen play than this.

I'd really like to hear opinions on this movie from someone who is not biased.

Let me rephrase that...I know I could *tell* a better story, but I have no experience writing screenplays. ;)

Still, I'd be interested in hearing opinions on this movie from y'all if anyone has seen it.
