AFAIK any place that sells oil (autoparts store etc.) takes used oil back for disposal/recycling.

I too go to the dealer.

I bought the pre-paid maintenance policy when I bought the car. I kicked myself for letting me be talked into it, but they fix something every time I go in that I didn't know needed maintenance, and they usually do it for free. Some stuff isn't covered, but its rarely all that much, which really surprises me.

I go to a local Joe that my dad trusts. He uses the used engine oil to heat his building so he does the changes pretty cheap.

I have poured it down the gutter in my misguided youth. I just don't bother to change it myself nowadays. Heck, haven't even taken any of my cars in for a regular change in quite some time.

That will get you fined here if you are caught! Do the good thing and recycle please. As stated earlier, most places that sell oil/change oil will recycle old used oil. In fact we can put used oil into containers and put out on the curb on trash collection day, if needed.

Yeah, but Mus is a Nevadan, a Las Vegi. They believe in the right to pollute their environment, and if you don't agree there is a lot of desert out there.

They aren't all like that, DS may be different for example.

I go down to the beach, and pour it out onto seagulls. Why let BP and Exxon Mobil have all the fun?

This is a local gull I've named Larry. Larry doesn't much care for me.

Actually, its more entertaining to pour it under your neighbor's cars, a little bit each night.

He's a whiny pansy. If he really cared he'd get out there and get cleaning.
