Unless all of those are from the original Resident Evil, this list is flawed.

Wow. I have never played a single game from that list. Let alone heard of 90% of them. I feel....... I feel AWESOME for being oblivious to such craptastic pieces of crap! It's like I'm on a whole different plane of existence than anyone else who actually played those games.

But then, I am reminded that I actually paid for Star Wars: Force Commander on the day of it's release. Although I can say I never played more than 15 minutes of the game.

Only game on there that I've played is the original Resident Evil.

Played 0% of those.

Knew only Grandia and maybe House of Dead series, heard of Rumble Roses from Wal-Mart display.

Given the "quality" of production, I am not surprised that many of them remain fairly unknown.

Oh and Number 40 (Shining Force 3) "Now bear my Arctic Blast!" has got to be the worst for me (especially if taken in context with #41 - ewww). Close second is 26 (Castle Shikigami 2) with their "Hold me if I'm dying, and vice versa, okay?"

That made me want to go play Star Ocean: Second Story again.

To be fair, many of the PS2 games shown there were also out on the Xbox 1. There was even a 360 game thrown in there. But yeah, I don't know who was in charge of the quality control in the PSX days, because they must have been sleeping on the job. Did the sound recording team really think that they had a good product after some of those lines were delivered? Were they really on THAT much of a deadline? Just goes to show how much quality control has improved this generation.

On low budget games, which almost all of them were in those days, a lot of the voice acting was probably done by the developers, or perhaps gratis by wanna be voice actors. I doubt seriously that any of those games spent any real money on voice actors..,

I'm pretty sure one of those (#7) was Paul Eiding, one of the more successful and prolific voice actors.

Half of those seem to be in for bad writing rather than bad voice acting, but I guess that's being a bit nitpicky. :p

I was expecting that scream scene from FFX. That makes me cringe all the time. The voice acting isn't superb in that game to begin with (though it's vastly better than the stuff in this video :p) but that scene just did not work with the voice actors they had. I can see what they were going for, and it works on paper, but... no. And it's so far off I don't know that I can blame the voice actors themselves so much as the director that approved of those lines.

I think the only one of those I ever played was faces of evil.
