Soon the moment we have all been waiting for will be upon us. Obama will lecture us on job's creation yet again, but in a new bold speech some time in September! What glorious new idea's will be unveiled? Soaring new Rhetoric to lift us? Will he feel your pain like Clinton? I almost want to start a betting pool!

Sucker bets:
1-Blames wall street/fat cats/ billionaires and millionaires!
2-Blames partisan politics who can not rise above their special interests to do what is good for the American middle class/main street.
3- a "Re-investment" in America, new and repaired infrastructure.
4- More "Green jobs" investment.

Good odds:
1- I inherited this mess from (X) previous administration, policies, the Bush tax cuts.
2- Calls upon the wealthy to pay their "fair share" (double points if tied to Buffet or Bush tax cuts)
3- Extension of unemployment benefits (something his new hire Alan Krueger disagrees with!)
4- Reforming the tax code (without specifics)
5- States the American system is "strong and or sound"
6- Tacking the debt/deficit without specifics (beyond a nebulous X amount over Y years (long out of office)

long shots:
1-New Stimulus (stated directly not tied to green jobs or construction)
2- a concrete plan on tax reform, or reforming the tax code.
3- Hosts a bi-partisan meeting of some sorts.

If you take this bet, can I sell you a bridge also?:
1- ? (trying to come up with something very ridiculous, like ending the fed?)

I'll pass on the speech. I trust someone here will provide the cliff notes.

At this point I just can't make myself get interested...

Wasn't he supposed to do this LAST year after he got back from his vacation at Martha's vineyard?

Nancy has it figured out. The Health Care Bill will solve all of our unemployment problems.

And Bill gets a real kick out of it!

Everything we do is about whatever it is you're concerned about.

In her mind jobs that are needed in order to figure out regulations and comply with them are not added inefficiency which increase costs to private business - they are jobs made by the government.

So why not ask her if the government mandated that anyone who is employed in the private sector who did not submit 10 page reviews about their day by the end of the week caused that business to be fined 50,000 dollars...they would need to double their workforce just to comply.

Instant everything is fine in America!
